the journey away |
j. k. brightonJ. K. Brighton originally hails from the West of Scotland - The Doon Valley to be specific, a beautiful but harsh landscape once dominated by coal mining. He escaped at the first opportunity and studied Biology at Stirling University from which he graduated with Honours.
He moved to London with its vibrant gay scene, and spent the first few years teaching before moving into the finance sector during a time of boom. But a nine to five (seven more like!) life was not for him, and he escaped once again to set up his own self publishing business. Having taken the time to learn the art of creative writing, he wrote Naked Hero - a book in two parts. It is a work of fiction, but draws on much of his life. In the main character, Lewis Macleod, you will find J. K. Brighton creeping out from time to time. |
